Perfect Yoga Retreat Venue Sri Lanka

I recently facilitated two 6 night yoga retreats at Satori Villas. I can not speak highly enough of the beautiful venue and the ease of arranging this retreat from the initial contact with the owner (Hugh), through to our final day of retreat.

Hugh was a wealth of knowledge on the local area and had many helpful suggestions to assist me in planning the retreats. Throughout the retreats the staff were wonderful, able to fulfil requests that I or my guests had with a beautiful balance of being professional and genuine. The Manager Mr Chatura was incredible, very thorough and reliable. It is clear that the staff are very well cared for and respected by the owner and management which is a lovely breathe of fresh air.

I requested the retreats to be vegetarian and cater for different dietary requirements. We had full board every day except for one dinner out at the end of each week. All of the guests and myself were very impressed by the diversity of the menu, presentation and most importantly, it was delicious. I appreciated that the Chef touched base with me regularly to make sure that the food was not too spicy and enjoyed by all.

Myself and all guests enjoyed fabulous massages in the garden massage room with Satori recommending the therapist, who was brilliant. After his first client, he was quickly booked out for all of his time slots that week with most guests choosing to double up.

Satori is very well set up for a retreat for about 10 people, the gorgeous Yoga shala that overlooks the jungle to the sea fits10 yoga mats comfortably. Each day we were treated to beautiful flower mandalas, candles and incense prepared for us in the shala. It is these special touches and attention to detail that I feel sets Satori apart from other retreats that I have attended. I truly feel that the generosity and care of the owner and management at Satori is reflective of their wishes for guests to have a wonderful experience, not just a business transaction.

I would be more than happy to be contacted by other yoga teachers wishing to host a retreat at Satori if they has any specific questions related to the yoga/retreat side of things. My details can be provided by Satori Villa.

Perfect place for an intimate yoga retreat

The first thing I thought when I saw Sartori Villa is what a perfect place for a yoga retreat… It ticks all the boxes, lovely, simple but stylish accommodation, wonderful yoga shala, totally immersed in nature, set away from but with easy access to gorgeous Galle and all that the beautiful southern coast of Sri Lanka has to offer…

Stunning yoga retreat!

Wow! Satori is a beautiful place to attend a yoga retreat. It is up in the jungle and The yoga Shala is perched on a hill with a meditation loft. Early morning practice to the sounds of monks’ chanting from a nearby temple. Stunning accommodation, outdoor bathroom, and awesome staff. Scenery is incredible with regular visits from monkeys. Delish vegetarian food, great tuk tuk drivers to zip to the beach or into Galle.

I highly recommend Satori Villas

Hello my name is Kimberly Parsons and I’m here to run yoga retreat at Satori Villas.
My guests are on day 4 of the retreat and the’re all totally blissed out and I could not be happier with this venue.

Chathura is an incredible manager who speaks great English, the staff are really friendly
and the chef is creating the most beautiful and healthy food. The rooms have every luxury you could ever need and the yoga shala is beautiful, perched on top of this amazing hill looking down on the jungle and ocean beyond.

There is plenty off space for workshops and I highly recommend Satori Villas.
